Maine Photography Show 2012 - Entry Rules
SUBMISSIONS
ENTRY FEES AND PHOTOS for judging must be received no later than February 1, 2012. Entries will be accepted after December 1, 2011.
ENTRY PHOTOS SHOULD be in jpeg format at 300 dpi with the widest dimension 1800 pixels (6 inches). Entries can be submitted using the ENTRY FORM on this website. No original art will be accepted. (Your photography store may be able to assist you in your online submission.)
ENTRIES must be in the following categories:

BLACK & WHITE
A photograph that is black and white devoid of color.

COLOR
A photographic image that is in color.

Annual Theme: Abstract
In this annually changing category, we are looking this year for images that capture form and design elements in any way you can imagine and we've never seen before...
The MPS Committee's and the judge's definition of an abstract image is:
"Abstract photography is photographic images that can contains shapes, colors, lines, and other design elements where the subject and reference to the world is not immediately evident."

STUDENT (18 and under)
Photography in any of the above categories, photographed by a person age 18 or under.
ENTRY RULES
THE MAINE PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW is open to all photographers with a Maine year round or summer address - professional, amateur, and student. The show has 4 categories: black and white, color, special annual theme, and student. Each photographer may submit up to 3 photographs in any combination of categories. Students (under 18) can enter 3 photographs in any category, but under Student.
THE COST TO ENTER is $10.00 per photo with a maximum of 3 photos per entry. Photographers of accepted work will be notified by mail with further instructions on where and when to deliver the originals for exhibition.
ACCEPTED PHOTOGRAPHS must be framed and ready to hang and must be presented in a professional manner. All work must be for sale. In addition, selected photographers can provide up to 2 matted prints of their photography for sale in the art bins. A commission of 30% will be charged on all sales made during and/or as a result of this show. Drop off and pick up of accepted work will be the responsibility of the photographer.

LIABILITIES
All care will be taken with entries. However, BRAF, its staff, and the exhibition place and its staff, will not be responsible for any damage or loss, from whatever cause, while originals are in transit or in their custodies.
